WHAT IS LEG AESTHETICS?

Leg aesthetics is a surgery that aims to remove all deformities of the calf, knee circumference and thigh regions starting from the ankle. Thanks to this surgery, deformities in the legs can be removed. Soft tissues in the calf and feet can be removed and lipoidosis in the knee region can be reduced.

TO WHOM CAN IT BE PERFORMED?

·         Those who have complaints of soft tissue thickness and thinness in the ankle and calf

·         Those with bandy leg appearance

·         People who have complaints such as irregular and regional lipoidosis, looseness and sagging around the knee and thigh are candidates for this surgery.

BEFORE LEG AESTHETICS SURGERY

As with all surgeries, it is recommended that smokers stop smoking at least 2 weeks before breast reduction surgery as well. The patient should inform the physician about the drugs used. In particular, blood thinners may need to be discontinued or rearranged before surgery.

LEG AESTHETICS SURGERY

These are the surgeries performed under general anesthesia. In cases of thinness, deformity, bandy leg appearance in the calf area, fat injections can be made using fat from other parts of the body. Again, for the same purpose, special silicone prostheses prepared for the leg can be placed through short incisions made under the knee.

Shaping can be done through liposuction for irregular and regional lipoidosis around thighs and knees. Thigh lift surgery can be performed for skin sagging in the thigh. However, it should be known that there will be permanent scars starting from the groin area or inguinal area extending to the inner leg area in this surgery. Although these scars usually begin to fade after 3 months, they never disappear completely.

AFTER LEG AESTHETICS SURGERY

After the surgery, patients can stay in the hospital for 1 night or be discharged on the same day. If liposuction has been applied, corsets supportting the liposuction areas are used. These corsets are recommended to be used for 2-3 weeks. As in all liposuction operations, bruising, swelling and edema occur. These bruises and swelling begin to disappear from the 3rd week.

Patients undergoing calf prosthesis are recommended to avoid excessive activity for 2-3 weeks. In thigh stretching operations, it may be necessary to use a corset for 2-3 weeks and to restrict physical activities. The scars formed during thigh lift surgery are permanent; although these marks start to fade from the 3rd month, they never disappear completely.
