WHAT IS BROW LIFT?

Brow lift is an operation that removes the droopiness at the level of the eyebrows, the look that gives the face an old and tired expression. The eyebrow level, which should be especially in women, is slightly higher and curved than the eyebrow level of men. With aging, some droopy appearance occurs in the eyebrows. This low level can be removed by brow and forehead lift surgeries.

WHO CAN HAVE THIS PROCEDURE?

- The ideal eyebrow level in women is a few millimeters above the upper eye socket bone, and in men, just above the upper eye socket. At the same time, the eyebrow shape in women is slightly curved. Patients whose eyebrows are below these ideal levels are candidates for this surgery.

BEFORE BROW LIFT PROCEDURE

As with all surgeries, it is recommended to stop smoking at least 2 weeks in advance. The patient should inform the physician about the drugs (s)he uses. In particular, blood thinners should be discontinued or rearranged before surgery.

BROW LIFT PROCEDURE

With the help of a few 1.5 cm incisions made in the scalp with a camera (endoscopic), the connective tissues holding the eyebrows on the bone structure are released. Eyebrows are fixated in their new places. In the same surgery, stretching is performed on the forehead and temporal sides.

AFTER BROW LIFT PROCEDURE

Patients are usually discharged on the same day after surgery. On the 2nd day, dressing is removed and patients can take a bath. There may be swelling and bruises on the upper eyelids and forehead. Patients can return to their social life after 1 week.
